C-U OPTIMIST CLUB 2025 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Eligibility

Must be a resident of Champaign County
Must be graduating from a high school in December 2024 (early graduates) or May 2025.
Must plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in Fall 2025.
Must have a High School Minimum GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 scale system

Award Details

This scholarship is given for the purpose of continuing education in a career choice that will enhance the community and youth.
Selection is based on candidates' service to the community, spirit of Optimism, volunteer work, and career choice.
The winner must be willing to attend a C-U Optimist Club meeting as a guest speaker and tell how the scholarship will enhance his/her education, date and time to be determined. Winners must also submit a headshot photo for publishing in the local newspaper.
The winner must relinquish the scholarship if he/she ends his/her education within the first year following the scholarship award.
The application deadline is Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:59 pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
