2025 JR. GOLF TOURNAMENT

Time: Tee times start at 10:00 a.m.
Entry Fee: $15
Location: University of Illinois Orange Golf Course
Eligibility: Boys and girls ages 12 through 18.

All participants must be 12 before Jan. 1, 2025, and cannot be 19 before August 1, 2024, or attend college before the July tournament date.

The local tournament will be separate for boys and girls and will be divided into three age groups:
   12-13-year-old boys and girls - (9-hole tournament)
                14-15-year-old boys and girls - (18-hole tournament)
                16-18-year-old boys and girls - (18-hole tournament)

The top winner from the 14-15-year-old bracket, the top winner from the 16-18-year-old bracket, and the top winner of the girls’ bracket will qualify to advance to the Illinois District Optimist Jr. World of Golf Qualifier Tournament in Decatur, IL held June 9-11, 2025. The Champaign-Urbana Optimist Club will pay entry fees to the District tournament for the winners.

One boy and one girl winner from the Illinois District tournament will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the Optimist International tournament, one of the largest and most well-renowned junior golf tournaments in the world, located at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach, FL in July.

PHOTO RELEASE: I grant the C-U Optimist Club the right to take photography, video, interviews, or any other form of media in connection with the Jr. Golf Tournament. I agree and authorize that these materials may be used by the C-U Optimist Club, with or without identification by name, to promote, advertise, market, or broadcast the C-U Optimist Club by any means, methods, publications, and technologies. I hereby voluntarily release and discharge the C-U Optimist Club, its personnel or representatives, from any and all liability that would result from the taking and authorized use of these materials and waive my right to financial compensation for such use.

WAIVER, RELEASE, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT: I waive and release the C-U Optimist Club, The University of Illinois, and all of their collective employees, clients and volunteers from all claims and liability arising out of, and agree not to sue them for, any injuries, including death, damages, losses or claims, and/or damage to property, whether known or unknown, which arise during or result from my access to the grounds of the Illini Orange and Blue Golf Course and the participation in C-U Optimist Club Golf Tournament. I also agree that in the event that any damage to equipment or facilities occurs as a result of my willful actions, neglect, or recklessness, I acknowledge and agree to be held liable for any and all costs associated with that damage.

I certify that I have not been advised to not participate in this activity by a qualified medical professional. In the event that I should require medical care or treatment, I agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment.

I have carefully read, reviewed, understand, and agree to abide by the terms of this agreement. I understand and agree that this agreement is to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Illinois and that the provisions of this agreement shall be in addition to (and not in lieu of) other immunities, protections, and /or defenses to which The C-U Optimist Club, The University of Illinois, and representatives may be entitled under applicable law. If any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the remaining terms shall continue in full force and effect.
